Ta earn a few o them silver cobs we hawk arrr famous "Buccaneer Corn" fer the mere price o......a buck-an-ear! We done planted a corn patch on the Westport Harbor Esplanade! Beware!! We got ourselves the cutest little fufu band what dishes up corny, pirate, n' ol' time music!

What We Do...
We be a not-for-profit crewe, and Neptune knows we ain't saved a farthen yet! What we really do is provide support and entertainment fer r local area's charities and festivals, not the least of which is Rusty Scupper's Pirate Daze, r very own Pirate festival held on the last weekend in June (usually).

If ye be a pirate, or pirate at heart, this is the place to be. Family-oriented and kid-friendly, there's fun fer everyone! Throughout the year wees ply r local waters and help with anythin' we find! Usin' the many different talents o' the entire crewe, we do everythin' from parades and festivals to birthday parties and chaperoning scallywag events. We have crewe members who do balloon swords, sing, and swing a mean sword! We also have r own little pirate FuFu (foo foo = ol'seafarin' lingo fer a ship's orchestra) band who serve up corny, pirate and ol'time music.

We're not large in numbers but huge in heart. R Crewe members be: r new Captain Tide Flats n 'is better half Razor Clam, then thar be Harrie Karrie & Bad Rum Billy, Stitches n 'er left foot What-a-Crock, Lottie Dah, Stinky Steve, Cajun R and Polly Wogg, Irish Blackie, What-A-Croc, Frogg, Orphan, r Darrin Scullery Maid, Commadore Salty and Lucky Liz with their tykes Doodle and Saber. Then thar also be Callico Jack, Stripes, Parrot n Jolly Joe Roger, Kyairthwen Seasong, Gums n Honey Dew, Barbarosa n me (Bones), and last but not least r three littlest scallyways: the twins Wiley Wyatt n Light Fingers Linnea, n r newest addition, Loose Cannon Katie, born January 5, 2006.

We'd like to thank all the pirate groups that showed up and all the "normal" people that came to see this spectacle. A big thanks to all da vendors, n last but certainly not least, all the volunteers that helped to put this on. Believe me,
THIS COULD NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT THEM!

This hyar festival has grown to what it is by the shear tenacity, vigilance, n insight of Karen McClellan.
Karen, thank ye frr all you have done over the past five years.

Harrie Karrie
(aka Karen McLellan with Passado)

This hyar poor chap in da stocks be r own Rodney Dangerfield, Cap'n Bizmo, aka: Pete Colean. He's done more n 'is fair share o work n never gits any respect so's we thought we'd give 'im some. He been r M.C. since da inception o Pirate Daze n now has been handed da reigns o oversee'n da festival. Good luck schmuck, er Cap'n, yer gonna need it!!! It be a tough job but we knows yous kin do it!

Deez two groups below are amongst r favorites, great performers n wonderful "band" o pirates. Da International Pirates o Seattle hep'd us start dis festival some years back so dey be pretty special in r hearts.

The International Pirates of Seattle took time after a Westport performance ta smile fer the camera.
Wees kin fill a whole ship full o gratitude to dis bunch! Thank you maties!

Dis here be Tug Boat, full o sea fair'n didies n toe tap'n tunes. Wees had ta take a pic o him sideways 'cause e wouldn't fit straight on.....

Dis hyar be da fearsome "Beer Bard Privateers" from da northern waters o Canada. Dey be hav'n da mini brig battles in da marina all weekend fire'n off dere cannons n show'n yall how trooly frightful battle at sea can be!

"In Remembrance"

We are extremely saddened to have lost two dear Friends this past year. Bloody Barney of the International Pirates, Seattle chapter and Thomas Long, owner and handler of Passado the parrot. Two of the finest pirates we've had the pleasure of knowing. Fair winds, calm seas and may God bless you and your families. You will be forever in our hearts.

Here we go wit some pics of Pirate Daze 2007!

In the first picture we 'ave one of the worst displays of "bawdrieness", a sight that makes the soul quiver and thier families scorned. Dey be "Lucky Liz", "Barbarosa" n "Honey Do". Then we 'ave one o the "Salty Dog" contest winners. I believe this 'lil character took second place but won first in me heart! Then we 'ave the "I told you it didn't always rain in Wetport" shot. See dem dere blu skys?!!

First we have last years Jack Sparrow look a like winner Naiomi playing her fiddle, mighty fine she be at that too! Then we have Saber show'n off 'er new eye patch she got at the face paint'n booth. I git ta take credit fer the thought 'o paint'n em on, but her dad wern't none too pleased come time to wash it off....
Finishing off this trio we 'ave Scullery Maid lur'in the men in with 'er spell binding good looks! Ya gotta love a wowan like dat!

'ere we 'ave Jack Sparrow, Jack Sparrow & Jack Sparrow.....
A legacy & tradition continues, Thomas Long's step son carries on with Passado.
Fer the love 'o the Lord, we 'ave a very rare picture 'o the elusive Bones, the International Pirates were take'n a huge risk in lett'n 'im play the uke at Cowboy Bob's! Chips Ahoy n Frogg helped 'im out call'n chords......Thanks guys!

Me can't thinks how easy we makes it fer ya, here's a link to da Chamber O Commerce so's ya kin find what yer look'n fer as in places fer grub r rest'n yer bones fer da night.
Wetport/Grayland Chamber O Commerce (yes, Wetport)

Here be a link ta "No Quarter Given", a pirates web site second ta none. (Well, maybe dis hyar one) Dey got links to everthing under da sun relating ta pirates.
No Quarter Given

Now 'ere we have some pictures of Pirate Daze, 2006.

Alas, here's our first place winner of the "Jack Sparrow" look a like contest. A dead ringer fer sure! Then we have scalawags do'n their jig and the fearsome Int'l Pirates of Seattle invading Westport.

Here we have Frogg in his finest Saturday attire and then an eclectic group, me thinks the British fancy pants might be in a bit of a pickle look'n who's his company be. Looks like Tide flats got 'imself a new devilishly handsome cabin boy!

Ah, pirates n their toys. If'n yer go'n to attend our festival, ya might want to bring yer ear plugs.

Here's a few pictures of 2005 Pirate Daze. We had a great time, lots 'o laughs and hope to sees ya all this year of Our Lord 2006!

Wiley Wyatt & Light Fingers Linnea take'n a load off.

There's dance'n in the streets to the tunes of the International Pirates and the Lady Washington fire'n her cannons.

Ahoy! The Treasure Island Pirates of Seattle have landed while Light Fingers and Wiley are try'n some of that Buccaneer Corn. Wonder how much that cost?

Harrie Karrie and Pasado, who is owned by Tom & Gail Long of Olympia. A tough decision to be made in the kids best costume contest and then we have Tide Flats the morning after a late night jam session with Frogg. Heard it was more fun than load'n the cannon with silverware!

Tide Flats & Razor Clam share a tender moment. Our very own lovely Scullery Maid. Can't argue 'bout it, she keeps a tidy ship! Den we 'ave r 'ol Cap'n Pepper n Tide flats yuk'n it up during a grand performance on da street. Mouse 'ore da pic ta git Peppers grand farewell to 'yall. She set sail fer northern waters wit her hubby da ghost. Fair winds friend........

Here's our infamous "What-A-Croc" eat'n up the young'ns. Fer some reason, the kids just love this reptilian, 'n he loves them
('e says they taste like chicken)!!!!!

We'd like to welcome aboard our newest member to the "Corniest Crewe on the Coast".
Introducing "Loose Cannon Katie". She be the product of Barbarosa n Bones, sister of Light Fingers Linnea n Wiley Wyatt. Don't let the innocent grin fool ya, she be liv'n up to her "loose cannon" monicker! It's not uncommon at all to hear "Thar she blows!" around our ship. God bless 'er and may His light shine upon 'er!
